A Citroen Racing prosseguiu hoje o desenvolvimento do novo DS3 WRC na zona de Tavira, sendo que hoje foi a vez de Sébastien Loeb andar com o carro, andando bastante forte, ao ponto de ter chegado mesmo a dar um toque. Para amanhã está prevista a presença de Dani Sordo, que irá repartir o carro com o francês, enquanto no sábado será o espanhol a rodar sozinho.
Para já, o DS3 WRC roda ainda com pneus Pirelli, e não os que terá no próximo ano, num dia em que a equipa mudou o motor à hora de almoço, ainda que isso não se tenha devido a qualquer quebra. Antes, Loeb realizou bastantes passagens, e em alguns casos dava várias voltas ao percurso que a equipa escolheu para o dia de hoje, antes de parar na assistência. Ainda teve tempo para dar um pequeno toque, com a traseira, o que danificou o pára choques do DS3 WRC.
Depois de termos visto o MÍNI WRC rodar, este DS3 WRC voltou a provar que os WRC do próximo ano depressa vão cair no goto dos adeptos, já que o andamento dos carros não diverge muito dos atuais WRC. Os novos têm um motor mais pequeno - é percetível a diferença só de ouvido - mas os carros também são mais pequenos e leves, o que os torna mais ágeis e 'nervosos'. Antevê-se um 2011 bem interessante...
